The Center for Research in Marine Sciences and Limnology (CIMAR) is a multidisciplinary Scientific Research Unit, attached to the Vice Presidency of Research at the University of Costa Rica.
It was founded in 1979 and it's located at Faculty of Education of Costa Rica Univesidad, 200m East, 200m North, CIMAR building. From there CIMAR studies organisms, environments, marine and freshwater processes throughout Costa Rica.
